Playground & Outdoor Equipment Sales Rep. – Virginia / West Virginia / Washington DC

Here to Help You Build Better Outdoor Spaces – From Virginia to West Virginia and DC

I’m Kelly Lindsay, and for over 25 years I’ve worked with schools, parks, and city leaders across Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC to bring high-quality outdoor spaces to life. I live in the region I serve — and that local connection shapes everything I do.

Whether you’re imagining a new playground, updating a neighborhood park, or building an outdoor classroom, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity, creativity, and confidence.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with everyone from first-time school planners to seasoned city engineers. Some projects begin with a clear vision. Others start with a blank slate and a simple goal — to create a space where people can gather, play, and grow. I enjoy being part of that discovery process and helping communities find solutions that feel like a natural fit.

Because I live in the region I serve, I understand the mix of urban and rural needs that come with it. A large school district in Northern Virginia has different challenges than a small town in West Virginia or a city park in the heart of Washington DC. My job is to bring practical ideas, flexible product options, and insight into what’s worked elsewhere — and tailor that to your community’s goals.

I also keep an eye on the long-term — helping clients think through maintenance, accessibility, and safety from day one. I stay up to date on state procurement guidelines, ADA and CPSI standards, and available grant programs, so you can plan with confidence and avoid costly surprises later on.

Whether you’re just getting started or working toward final approval, I’m here to make the process easier, clearer, and more rewarding. If you’re curious about what’s possible — or just need someone to bounce ideas off — I’d be happy to help.

What My Clients in Virginia, West Virginia & DC Are Saying

Grateful Reflections From the Communities I’ve Worked With

From Virginia Beach to Charleston to Washington DC, I’ve worked alongside incredible people who care deeply about creating welcoming, lasting spaces for their communities. Along the way, I’ve been honored with recognitions like the Cedar Forest Products, Cupola Club Top Performer and Bliss Products and Services, Million Dollar Club – but what means the most are the conversations, problem-solving, and partnerships I’ve shared throughout the region. These kind words reflect the heart behind each project, and I’m grateful for every one of them.

Many times in my career I have had co-workers and/or associates whom I have competitively challenged to be both personally & professionally the best they can be.  Kelly Robinson’s attention to detail and her unique ability to actually listen to customers places her as one of the best-of-the-best.  I have always said, cream will always rise to the top.  With that being said Kelly has made that final step to #1 and was Play & Park Structures ‘2019 Salesperson-of-the-Year! Duly noted and job well done!

Michael Etchison,

President, Recreation Brands of S. California

Kelly Lindsay has been the City of Virginia Beach’s contact for 100+ playground renovations for both the City of Virginia Beach and Virginia Beach Public Schools renovation.  Ms. Lindsay has always been professional, respectful, and goes above and beyond to provide quality customer service and products to the City.. [ensuring] projects were on time and within budget.

Chad R. Morris,

City of Virginia Beach, Department of Parks and Recreation

Too few salespeople appreciate, deliver on, and passionately defend the importance of customer relationships; and the subsequent benefit of having engaging discussions, rather than sales pitches.  Kelly’s ability to build deep-rooted relationships with her customers translates into her perpetually being one of our strongest salespeople … and one of the strongest sales reps in the play and recreation equipment business.  Her customers trust she always has their best interests in mind … never proposing product solutions that don’t tie exactly with her customers direction and desired outcomes.  Kelly’s customers fight for her … not for price.

Tom Casey

Projects I’m Proud to Share From Across Virginia, West Virginia & DC

Outdoor Spaces Designed With Purpose - and With You

Over the years, I’ve worked hand-in-hand with schools, park departments, and community leaders across Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC to create outdoor spaces that reflect the needs and spirit of each place.  Whether it’s a custom-built outdoor classroom in Alexandria, a new playground in Charleston, or a shaded gathering space in DC, each project represents more than just equipment – it’s a shared vision brought to life through collaboration, creativity, and long-term trust.  The projects you’ll see below are just a few examples of the partnerships I’m proud to be part of.

Covered pedestrian bridge designed by Bliss Products and Services at Chesapeake City Hall in Virginia

Chesapeake City Hall – Chesapeake, VA

When the City of Chesapeake needed to replace a 20-year-old bridge at City Hall, they were looking for something safer, stronger, and built to last. The original walkway – beautiful but shaded by heavy tree cover – had become slick and hazardous after rain.

I partnered with city planners to design a covered pedestrian bridge that addressed the issue while fitting seamlessly into the park-like setting. We matched the new bridge’s green metal roof to the CFP shelters already on-site, creating a unified look and architectural continuity throughout the City Hall complex.

What I appreciated most about this project was the opportunity to combine practical problem-solving with thoughtful, site-sensitive design. Every element—from the bridge slope to the selected materials - was chosen with long-term usability and community character in mind.

It’s a great example of what’s possible when public spaces are designed not just to meet code, but to serve real people in real places - safely, beautifully, and for years to come.
