ABOUT OUR COMPANY
A family-owned leader in commercial playgrounds, parks, and recreation equipment.

Gary had spent years designing and developing public parks across Ohio and Florida, ultimately serving as Director of Broward County Parks and Recreation in Ft. Lauderdale. When he retired early, Nancie also stepped away from her role as Executive Director of the Florida Recreation and Park Association in Tallahassee. United by their vision, they turned their experience into action by founding Bliss Products and Services, committed to improving outdoor recreation spaces.
Early on, Gary and Nancie worked with a small wooden playground company, Park Structures of America. As their vision grew, they founded Bliss Products and Services and moved operations to a small mountain cabin near Bryson City, North Carolina.
From there, they began representing trusted manufacturers such as Iron Mountain Forge and Stadiums Unlimited. As demand increased, the company expanded again, opening a dedicated office in Bryson City to better serve their growing base of commercial playground and park equipment clients.

As Bliss Products and Services expanded its territory, the need for a dedicated sales team grew. Some of those early team members are still part of BPS today. The founders’ son, Gregg, joined the company from Texas as a sales representative, gaining firsthand experience in the field. He brought valuable skills in computer systems, AutoCAD design, and business operations. His technical background helped the company adapt quickly as manufacturers began requiring digital playground layouts instead of hand-drawn sketches. BPS responded by providing professionally rendered designs for customer approval – streamlining the order process and enhancing service.
In 1999, Gary and Nancie retired and relocated to their new home in Montana, officially handing over the reins of the business – including full ownership and operations – to their son Gregg. He moved Bliss Products and Services to Lithia Springs, Georgia, which became the company’s new headquarters. From there, Gregg led an expansion that grew BPS’s reach from a handful of states to a broad regional presence across the Southeast and beyond.
Bliss Products and Services also became a licensed general contractor in most of the states where it operates. As the company continued to grow, it expanded its internal team and added more sales representatives to cover an increasing number of territories. To better serve a national market, BPS launched an online store offering a curated selection of commercial playground equipment and outdoor recreation products. The team remains committed to finding new ways to meet evolving customer needs.
