Briarwood Christian School took a big step in improving their outdoor spaces by upgrading playground areas and adding vibrant shade structures across both campuses. The goal was to create safe, comfortable play zones where students could enjoy fresh air without the harsh midday sun – a must in Alabama’s warm climate.
Project Details
At the Upper School, new multi-bay shade canopies were installed to cover swings and large play areas, while the Lower School saw the addition of a spacious four-post shade structure over the toddler playground. These structures, paired with well-planned play layouts, deliver all-day UV protection, reduce surface temperatures, and create inviting spaces for students to gather, play, and stay active.
Personal Note: One of the best parts of this project was seeing how the shade structures instantly transformed the playgrounds into year-round gathering spots. It’s always rewarding to know these improvements will keep kids comfortable and safe for many school days to come.
