Carter Park in Carthage, Missouri is located in a vibrant Hispanic neighborhood and was planned to celebrate local culture through a welcoming community play space. This project is shared by our manufacturing partner, Play and Park Structures (PPS), as a design excellence example.

According to PPS, Carter Park holds a dual National Demonstration Site recognition for inclusive play, aligned with both the 7 Principles of Inclusive Playground Design and PlayOn!. The designation reflects intentional planning focused on play value, social connection, and broader usability.

Families gather here for picnics, community events, and everyday outdoor time, supported by a playground environment designed to encourage shared play and positive interactions across a wide range of ages and abilities.

Inclusive design and cultural storytelling were key planning priorities for this site. By pairing a clear identity with an inclusive play framework, the park supports day-to-day neighborhood use and creates a comfortable setting where families can spend more time together outdoors.
