Governor Ron DeSantis Park – Florida
Introducing Governor Ron DeSantis Park: formerly known as Kinman Park, this vibrant recreational space, nestled at 7510 Prospect Road, Sarasota, Florida just north of Kinnan Elementary School, underwent a transformation to honor the esteemed 46th Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, following an enthusiastic online vote by the residents of Manatee County. Jim Carruthers, representing Bliss Products and Services in the Florida Sarasota/Ft. Myers region, collaborated with Tandem Construction, the contracted builders entrusted to bring this project to fruition.
The park boasts an array of amenities, including:
– Two expansive dog parks
– Dual playgrounds catering to different age groups
– Two shaded pickleball courts for enthusiasts
– Invigorating fitness trails
– Permanent restroom facilities
– Ample ADA-accessible parking spaces
– Illuminating solar lighting enhancing safety and visibility
BPS played a significant role in enhancing the park’s infrastructure, contributing two picnic shelters within the dog parks and the construction of the restroom facilities.
Governor Ron DeSantis Park stands as a testament to the enduring commitment of Governor DeSantis to the families of Florida, whom he ardently represents and champions on a daily basis. BPS takes immense pride in its involvement in this initiative by Manatee County.
