More than 90% of my work comes from referrals and repeat clients – something I’m proud of because it shows communities across Southeast Florida trust Patty Carruthers to deliver results.  For over 35 years, I’ve been helping cities, schools, HOAs, and neighborhood groups create safe, beautiful outdoor spaces across Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, and Monroe counties.  Whether it’s a new playground, a dog park renovation, or shade and shelter installation, my focus is always on long-term value and community impact.

I’ve guided projects of every size, from Miami Gardens’ $60 million bond program to park renovations in Hollywood, and down through the Florida Keys where smaller community projects make just as big a difference.  Each installation – whether a playground, pavilion, sports court, or fitness area – is carefully planned so it meets today’s needs and will continue serving families, students, and residents for years to come.

Working in South Florida means designing with our climate in mind.  From coastal weather and year-round sun to high-traffic use in schoolyards and public parks, I help communities choose the right playground equipment, surfacing, and site furnishings to stand up to local conditions.  By factoring in safety standards, ADA accessibility, and durability, I ensure each space is built to perform season after season.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: outdoor spaces bring people together.  Parks and playgrounds are where children learn, neighbors connect, and families gather. That’s why every project I take on is personal – because creating inclusive, welcoming places across Southeast Florida isn’t just my profession, it’s my passion.

Over the years, I’ve built strong partnerships with schools, municipalities, HOAs, and parks departments throughout Southeast Florida.  Those relationships mean I understand what communities truly need – whether that’s durable playground surfacing for high-traffic schools, shaded seating for neighborhood parks, or safe, inclusive equipment for children of all abilities.  My role is to listen, provide the right solutions, and ensure every project reflects both the vision of the community and the unique character of South Florida.
