Ron Harley - Bliss Products and Services Playground & Outdoor Equipment Sales Rep. - Florida Panhandle

Serving Communities from Pensacola to Tallahassee

I’m Ron Harley, I specialize in commercial playground equipment and park development throughout the Florida Panhandle – from Pensacola to Tallahassee, Panama City to Fort Walton Beach, and communities like Marianna, DeFuniak Springs, Quincy, and Milton.  With nearly a decade of hands-on experience and a background in commercial construction, I’ve helped schools, municipalities, parks departments, and HOAs create outdoor spaces that are safe, durable, and built to serve the community for years to come.

What sets me apart is my hands-on approach.  I stay involved through every stage of the process – from early planning and product selection to site visits and final walkthroughs.  I don’t just sell outdoor and playground equipment – I work closely with clients and crews to make sure each project is built right, on time, and with long-term value in mind.

Over the years, I’ve worked on a wide range of public recreation and outdoor learning projects across Northwest Florida — from rural towns like Chipley and Apalachicola to larger cities like Tallahassee and Pensacola — including:

  • Playgrounds and outdoor classrooms for schools and child development centers
  • Community park upgrades and public amenity installations
  • Shade structures, pavilions, and wind-rated shelters
  • Sand volleyball courts, sports field accessories, and bleachers
  • Pre-engineered buildings, restroom facilities, and custom site furnishings

Every project I take on is guided by function, safety, accessibility, and long-term performance.  I help you work through layout design, ADA compliance, product options, procurement processes, and timelines – all while making sure your budget goes as far as possible.

Because I live and work in the Florida Panhandle, I understand the region’s unique challenges – like coastal wind ratings, sun exposure, humidity, and local permitting requirements.  I’ve supported projects in both rural and urban settings, and I know how to navigate the realities of working with schools, city departments, and public funding timelines.

Appreciation from the Field

A Few Recognitions I’m Grateful For

Most of what I do doesn’t come with a trophy – and that’s just fine by me. The real reward is when a project gets built, and the community comes out to use it. Still, over the years, a few recognitions have come my way, and I’m proud to share them.

These awards reflect the work I’ve done with schools, parks departments, and local agencies across the Florida Panhandle – not just the results, but the way we got there. It’s about solving problems together, staying involved through the final walkthrough, and doing what’s right for the site.

If this kind of support is what you’re looking for, I’d be glad to bring it to your next project.

Everything Under The Sun

Creating Safe, Inclusive Outdoor Spaces for Schools, Parks, and HOAs

Projects Built in the Panhandle – Powered by Local Partnerships

Every Project Designed with Durability, Use, and Community in Mind

From Fort Walton Beach to Blountstown, I’ve worked with parks departments, school teams, and city planners to take outdoor space ideas and turn them into something real. What makes these projects work isn’t just the equipment – it’s listening to the goals, figuring out the right fit, and making sure the end result is something the community can be proud of.

Covered pedestrian bridge designed by Bliss Products and Services at Chesapeake City Hall in Virginia

Chesapeake City Hall – Chesapeake, VA

When the City of Chesapeake needed to replace a 20-year-old bridge at City Hall, they were looking for something safer, stronger, and built to last.  The original walkway – beautiful but shaded by heavy tree cover – had become slick and hazardous after rain.

I partnered with city planners to design a covered pedestrian bridge that addressed the issue while fitting seamlessly into the park-like setting.  We matched the new bridge’s green metal roof to the CFP shelters already on-site, creating a unified look and architectural continuity throughout the City Hall complex.

What I appreciated most about this project was the opportunity to combine practical problem-solving with thoughtful, site-sensitive design. Every element—from the bridge slope to the selected materials – was chosen with long-term usability and community character in mind.

It’s a great example of what’s possible when public spaces are designed not just to meet code, but to serve real people in real places – safely, beautifully, and for years to come.

No two projects are ever quite the same – and that’s one of the things I enjoy most about this work. Whether you’re just starting to sketch ideas or already have a clear direction, I’m happy to help you think it through and find the right fit for your space. I’ll share what’s worked well in other Florida communities, walk you through the details, and make sure you feel confident moving forward. Big or small, if you’ve got a project on the horizon, I’d love to be part of it.

Across the Panhandle these Projects Built with Local Know-How.

Designed with Durability, Purpose, and People in Mind

From Fort Walton Beach to Blountstown, I’ve helped turn outdoor space ideas into real, lasting projects. Sometimes it starts with a full plan, sometimes just a sketch – but it always comes down to understanding the goals and finding the right fit. These are a few examples of what that looks like across Northwest Florida.

Projects Across the Panhandle Built with Local Know-How

Durable. Practical. Made for Real Communities.

I’ve worked with parks, schools, and cities all across Northwest Florida – from Fort Walton to Blountstown. Some projects start with full plans, others with just a good idea. Either way, I’m here to help turn it into something that works.

The examples below give a feel for what that looks like in real spaces, built for real people.

Everything Under The Sun

Creating Safe, Inclusive Outdoor Spaces for Schools, Parks, and HOAs

Need Help Funding a Playground or Park Project? Let’s Talk.

Expert Guidance for Public & Private Outdoor Funding Across the Florida Panhandle

I’ve worked with schools, cities, and parks departments across the Florida Panhandle who had great ideas for outdoor spaces – but weren’t sure how to fund them. That’s where I come in. Whether you’re applying for a state or federal grant, exploring local funding opportunities, or building a proposal for a shared-use partnership, I’m here to help guide the process. Together, we’ll turn your vision into a built-to-last outdoor space that meets your goals, fits your budget, and reflects the needs of your community.

State & Federal Grants

Whether it’s a new playground in Calhoun County or a park shelter in Bay County, I stay current on state and federal outdoor funding programs available in Florida. I’ll help you navigate the paperwork, eligibility, and submission steps – so your application has the best possible chance of success.

Proposal & Application Strategy

Grant writing doesn’t have to be overwhelming. I work closely with schools, cities, and parks departments across the Panhandle to create well-organized proposals that highlight local needs, meet funding requirements, and make a strong case for your project.

Local Gov, School Partnerships

Many of my clients fund projects through creative partnerships – from ADA-compliant upgrades to joint-use playgrounds between schools and local agencies.  I help identify programs that align with your goals and demonstrate the long-term value of your investment.

No matter where you are in the grant process – just getting started or weighing your options – I’m here to help guide you through it. I’ve worked with schools, parks, and local leaders across the Florida Panhandle to turn big ideas into funded, finished spaces that serve the community for years to come. Helping bring those projects to life is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do, and I’d be proud to support yours.

Out and About: Stories from My Work Across the Panhandle

What’s happening on-site, in the field, and across the communities I serve.

Every month, I like to share something from the field – whether it’s a cool playground feature, a moment that made me laugh, or a question from a client that got me thinking. It’s a little peek into what I’ve been up to and what’s happening in local parks and schools.

I’ll keep sharing moments from the field, but if you’re thinking about your next park, playground, or community space – let’s talk. I’m here to help bring it to life.
